How many of you guys are signed up for the Sunshine Tournamnet? Its only $65 a boat thats 4 guys, and a helluva party afterwards.

Sunshine is the oldest Make A Wish type organization in the country, our local Tournament is also the biggest SINGLE PORT fishing tournament in the state. Last year we had 239 boats participate, over 1200 people at the picnic. 84 CENTS of every dollar collected goes to the kids, our local tournament numbers are even better because we have so many local people and business that donate so much. Atlantic Care donates some of the tents, Sea Pirate Campground donates some tents, the band Jericho Road donates there time, Great Bay Marina donates their staff, and the space to hold the picnic, and weigh in. Some of the food is donated by an anymous benefactor (I didn't mention your name Chris K), Scotty's Bait and Tackle sprung for the beer mugs the last couple of years. Local families donated the beer, Redmens donates tables and grills, Viking Yacht donates tables, and help to set them up. The door prizes, raffle stuff, all donated thru local businesses, and people. There are to many folks and businesses to thank, I just mentioned some of the ones that popped to the top of my head. Last year, from the tournament alone, there was over $40,000.00 sent to Sunshine's main office in Feasterville, we would like to do better this year. I beleive this makes our local tournament one of the biggest contributors to Sunshine.

I am not sure of all the people who started this local tournament, but some of them were Mark Funk, Capt. Lee, Kenny Lipton, Tommy and Anna Paxton, the first tournament was about 30 boats, it has come along way in the past 11 years, lets make this year a banner year, just to help thank these guys.

You can sign up at The Chumbucket, Scotty's Bait and Tackle, Shore Wheels, Great Bay Marina, or at the Captains meeting Friday evening. The weather is going to be great, the food is always awesome, the entretainment rocks, and so do the folks that attend.

Our new slogan, (thought up by yours truly) GRANT A WISH, SUNSHINE FISH

PS. Hutchs report will return next week, sorry Hutch, but the kids need our help!!
